Iteea's 73rd annual conference in Minneapolis, March 24-26, 2011, carries the theme, Preparing the STEM Workforce: The Next Generation.rnThis theme will address the 21st century workforce, new basics, and the sustainable workforce and environment. What STEM teaching and learning concepts are key to our future workforces? What current basics will fade, and what will the new courses look like, and how will STEM teaching and learning change as a result of the new basics? What nev technologies and concepts will join such areas of interest as energy, resource utilization, manufacturing, and more as a major focus of STEM education?
