Engaging in a hands-on upcycling design activity can have a lasting impact on students. Educators can design upcycling activities that make use of the equipment at hand, and they can have students engage in upcycling that does not require specialized equipment. Post-consumer materials to be upcycled are necessarily low-cost or free.
