Operations Overhaul Reduces Distribution Costs by $28ok-Delivery Standards Improved

Challenge: DiSanto and Associates overhauled and implemented "zone skip" and "cross docking" operation for our client, reducing distribution costs by $280k and improving delivery standards to both retail and consumer sector (ongoing savings). Solution & Results: This was accomplished by implementing the following: 1) Designed and developed major market "pool distribution" utilizing line hauls with scheduled release dates, eliminated 12 satellite warehouses and inventory. Cost savings exceeding $800k. 2) Overhauled and implemented "zone skip" operation reducing distribution costs by 40% and improved delivery standards to both retail and consumer sector. 3) Analyzed current distribution network, overhauled and re-aligned for "best in class" distribution international/domestic network resulting in cost savings of 55%; aligned with team personnel to champion and develop skills. 4) Re-aligned and restructured distribution from USA to Canada, trans-border negotiations and facility shut-down; reduced distribution costs by $l60k annually.
