It takes a certain amount of forti-tude and vision to leave behind the familiar and enter into the unfamiliar. But that's exactly what wedding photographer Joe Buisslnk has done. While studying at UCLA for his Ph.D in neuropsychology, he did a complete turnaround and pursued something that had captivated him for years: photographing couples during one of the happiest days in their lives. His venture into this field proved to be a success; after a mere four years of immortalizing weddings that have appeared in such publications as In Style and People, Buissink has shown the world and his contemporaries that a little bit of knowledge and an incredible amount of passion can overcome even the most formidable obstacles.
