New Secretary General of fib

The secretariat looks forward to welcoming Petra Schumacher, new Secretary General of fib, in January 2011. A German citizen, Dr. Schumacher has resided in the Netherlands for several years, earning her doctorate under Prof. Joost Walraven at Delft University of Technology in 2006, and later working for Shell as a civil engineer. She has been a member of fib since 2006, and presented a paper on her PhD research (thesis entitled "Rotation Capacity of Self-Compacting Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete") at the 6th fib International PhD Symposium in Civil Engineering in 2006.
