摘要

The proposition that strategy content vis-a-vis Porter's and Miles and Snow's typologies is a key determinant of organizational performance is tested for the case of 129 Iranian manufacturing companies. Market-share growth was positively associated with a prospector stance and negatively associated with a defender stance. Reactors were outperformed by other strategic groups in terms of return on investment, profitability, market share growth, and overall performance.
