Pakistan: The Beginning of the End?

The reviewed works survey the entire gamut of issues impacting modern day Pakistan-the rise of the Taliban coupled with the rise of home-grown extremist forces, ethnic strife, secessionist tendencies and fears that the country will disintegrate and its nuclear assets will become vulnerable to the fundamentalists. The amount of information in the selected books is vast keeping in view the time period they cover. However, the abundance of information, at times, has resulted in shallow perceptions and multiple perspectives on single issues which can be confusing.
