President Trump revealed his $4.8 trillion fiscal year (FY)2021 budget blueprint on Monday, February 10. The overallbudget includes an additional $1 trillion deficit, resulting in atotal national debt of over $23 trillion with a balanced budgetnot foreseen until 2035. Although Trump had promised toeliminate the national debt by 2024 by renegotiating all UStrade deals, balancing the budget by 2035 would require anaverage of 3% growth each year until then, which has nothappened since he took office.
