The second annual Sir Arthur Clarke awards were presented at a dinner during the British Rocket Oral History Programme (BROHP) conference 2006 at Charterhouse School, Surrey, in April. There was much to enjoy with over 50 presentations and a real sense of bringing together the UK space community to record the past, discuss present-day policy and inspire the future, writes David Fearn. The British Interplanetary Society was strongly represented, both in terms of speakers such as Alan Bond and David Fearn, but also in helping to organise the programme for the second day.
