ENSURING QUALITY FOR TOMORROW'S HYBRID MEETINGS

Over the course of the pandemic, virtual conferences have skyrocketed in popularity. Inevitably, with that growth, a common set of challenges have presented themselves. Calls can be dropped. Attendees sometimes shout over one another. Some people are too loud; other people are too quiet. Private conversations are overheard. Audio can become unintelligible, and video can become pixelated. What would have been a 20-minute meeting in the office can turn into hours of wasted time and secondhand embarrassment for all attendees.Although many of us might have thought that these were temporary problems that would easily be remedied once everyone got back to the office, it has become abundantly clear that remote work is here to stay for a large part of the workforce. That means we must adjust to the hybrid nature of conferencing-with some people at home and others who have returned to the office. If the workforce found working 100-percent remote a challenge, this "new normal" of hybrid conferencing will continue to keep everyone on their toes. Luckily, there is an array of solutions available to make it easier and, in fact, more enjoyable.
