Study: More nuclear plants vulnerable to forced retirement

Following the announced retirements of Dominion Resources Inc.'s Kewaunee nuclear plant in Wisconsin, Duke Energy Corp.'s Crystal River plant in Floridanand Southern California Edison Co.'s San Onofre plant in California, investors, utilities and environmentalists alike are left wondering which, if any, reactorsnwill be next to go. According to a study released July 1 by one of the most vocal critics of nuclear power, nearly 40 operating plants show vulnerabilitiesnthat put them at risk for retirement.
