American Resources Corp. has entered into a permit transfer agreement with an unrelated party for “certain non-core idled operations” of its Knott County Coal subsidiary, according to a Sept. 25 company release. The divestment of related permits will reduce the Indiana-based company’s reclamation bonding by $2.86 million and its estimated, unaudited asset retirement obligations by more than $900,000.
