The kerogen samples from three basins were tested by Electron Spin Resonance method. Based on the Tertiary kerogen samples from Qiongdongnan Basin and Liaohe Basin, a standard curve, regression curve Between free radical densities and burial depth of samples, has been established for paleogeothermal Gradient estimation. The paleogeothermal gradient of Carboniferous-Permian time of well MCl in Tarim Basin was estimated with this standard curve, which is reliable comparing with the result of being derived From vitrinite reflectance model.
