Cadafe, a major Venezuelan utility company, recently commissioned Siemens to build a substation at Cabruta on the bonks of the Orinoco river deep in the Amazon basin. The company also asked Siemens to be a consultant for the preliminary studies and engineering of extremely tall towers as well as the associated power lines spanning the river.
