Guadalajara: City on the Line

Shortly after completing its first subway line, Mexico's second largest city began construction on a second line. Now, with ridership approaching capacity, additional lines are being planned. Guadalajara is home to over four million people. The capital of the state of Jalisco, and the cultural and commercial center of western Mexico, the city continues to draw people from around the country, contributing to an annual population growth of 3%.
