The second batch of Project 1135.6 frigates under construction in Russia for the Indian Navy are to be named Teg (Sabre), Tarkash (Quiver), and Trikand (Bow). The country's President is reported to have personally chosen the names. The ships were ordered in July 2006 at a cost of $1.6 billion as a follow-on to the Talwar class.rnDespite financial problems at the shipyard in Kaliningrad that have forced Yantar to take out $170rnmillion in loans to keep going, all three hulls have been completed, with delivery at six-month intervals remaining on schedule for 2011-12. The first frigate was floated out in mid-November 2009.
