New company adriatic Lines is using two British-owned freight ferries to offer what is claimed to be the only dedicated lorry and trailer service between Italy and Greece. They have chartered the Channel Ferries-owned Ropax 1 and Ropax 2 for three return trips a week in either direction between Ravenna and Corinth with calls each way at Igoumenitsa.rnThe 18-knot vessels, each with space for 3,150 lane metres of rolling cargo on four decks and accommodation for up to 200 drivers, were refitted at the Cammell Laird yard in Birkenhead after acquisition in 2007.
