Queen Mary has been sold for operation as a tourist attraction at La Rochelle. She was moved from her Thames Embankment berth on 9 November to go to Tilbury for the tow to France.rnThe last turbine steamer to see Clyde service when withdrawn in September 1977, the triple-screw Queen Mary famously gave her name to the Cunardrnliner launched in 1934 and ran as Queen Mary II until 1976. Completed in 1933 and originally part of the Williamson Buchanan fleet, Queen Mary II was long associated with summer cruises from Glasgow Bridge wharf.
