Blue Star sell Superferry Ⅱ

With newbuildings under construction by Daewoo in South Korea, Attica Holdings company Blue Star Ferries has sold Superferry II (1974/5,054gt),the mainstay of Cycladic services from Rafina to Mykonos for the past 18 years. Interests connected with the island of Andros are reported to have paid in the region of €5 million for a vessel built as Prince Laurent and used by RMT between Ostend and Dover u/itil 1990. Blue Star Delos, first of the 26-knot twins from Daewoo, is due for delivery in April and will carry 2,300 passengers and 450 cars.
