On every part of the British and Irish coastline, the famous Arun class lifeboats gave outstanding service during the 1980s and/90s. When they were replaced, many were sold to foreign lifeboat societies, with ICE-SAR, the Icelandic association for search and rescue, taking 15. Nicholas Leach tracked some of them down.
