Thamesport welcomes new service

London thamesport saw the return of United Arab Shipping Company's AEC1 service on 12 December 2010 with the arrival of the 48,l54gt container ship Al-Farahidi (pictured below). The reinstated call of the AEC1 at London Thamesport marks the return of vessel operations in the UK for the Line. The AEC1 service provides fast transit times between the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and the UK. Transit times of 16 days from Nhava Sheva and only seven days from Port Said are scheduled. The Line uses six container ships with capacities ranging from 3,800 to 5,000TEUs.
