Industry experts examine computer applications in shipbuilding

A conference held in Malmoe, Sweden, during September 2002 looked at various aspect of computers in the shipbuilding industry - primarily in design and construction but also in areas such as e-commerce, maritime IT, communications and life cycle management ICCAS 2002, the llth International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding, attracted more than 200 participants from Europe, Asia, North and South America. Swedish software specialist Tribon Solutions was one of the main sponsors, with the company, and its associated companies worldwide, presenting various papers. Kaj Johansson of Tribon acted as conference chairman.
