Hybrid power solutions

摘要

Two new build high capacity support ships conceived for both anchor handling and offshore construction will be the first to incorporate the hybrid diesel-mechanical and diesel-electric propulsion system developed by the Ulstein Group of western Norway. Scheduled for handover to Olympic Shipping by Ulstein Verft in 2009, the innovative vessels embody the A122 design, installed with 19,500kW of engine power to achieve a bollard pull of some 260tonnes.
