Japanese classification society ClassNK has published a new version of its Noise and Vibration Guideline, with content geared towards the detailed requirements necessary for measuring and evaluating onboard noise and vibrations, in response to the latest developments in international rules and regulations for these factors. The updated ...Guideline has been split into two sections; the first, Part A, outlining detailed requirements concerning the measuring and evaluation of noise and vibrations as they affect crew accommodation areas, in line with IMO Resolution A.468 (XII), as well as ISO 2923:1996 and ISO 6954:2000.
