In the scramble to develop viable, eco-friendly alternatives to fossil fuel-fed boats, wind power remains a strong, if sometimes overlooked, contender. For US-based wind turbine developer and renewable energy specialist Inerjy, this quandary is a no-brainer: while LNG, biofuels and hybrid systems may have their respective merits when it comes to nullifying vessel smoke, emissions and fuel costs, wind remains "king".
