Electric boats have been around for more than a century -125 years, in fact. They rnade their debut ferrying hundreds of thousands of ticket holders to the Worlds Columbian Exposition in 1893 in Chicago, an event held to mark the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' exploration to the New World.
