One of the products to make its debut at the 2021 SMM Digital virtual exhibition was ZF's new ZF AT 80 thruster range, which has been introduced as a flexible solution for various ship types and sailing profiles, including tugs, workboats and inland waterway applications.Developed with a power output of 1,380-1,585kW, the modular design of the ZF AT 80 means it can be utilised in a number of ways: for instance, as a 360°-steerable thruster, a retractable propulsion system or a bow thruster, ZF suggests. Its power range also reportedly plugs the gap between the company's existing ZF 6000 and ZF 7000 models.
