ASIS Boats has delivered a custom-built RIB to Dibba Bay Oysters, an oyster farming and harvesting company operating in the Arabian Gulf. Measuring 9.6m in overall length (or 9.27m without its engines) and 3.17m in breadth, the newbuild incorporates the builder's Air Hull design, to help the boat to negotiate choppy waters. The Air Hull concept utilises a dynamic concave reverse chine to direct the water downwards, resulting in extra lift and reducing the wetted surface and friction drag of the hull. Meanwhile, the boat's 4.5m draught permits easy access to the oyster beds at low tide.
