Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Neil Marine has come to establish itself as one of the most productive boatyards within Sri Lanka - and, indeed, within South Asia. Since its formation in 1968, Neil Marine (formally titled Neil Fernando & Company, Ltd) estimates that its production site in Negombo, on the country's west coast, has built some 40,000 fibreglass boats for regional customers and exported more than 2,000 vessels to clients based in the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere in Asia.
