UK builder Wight Shipyard Co. (WSC) has secured an order to build a pair of 37m x 8.5m high-speed ferry sisters for Mexican operator Ultramar, which runs services between the ports of Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Cozumel, in the Quintana Roo Peninsula.These ferries have been designed by Incat Crowther, which also provided the blueprint for Ultramar's six City Jet class ferries - a series of 28m, 300-passenger vessels which are being produced by Midship Marine of Louisiana, US.
