Axon Technologies was formed in 1996 to commercialize its Programmable Metallization Cell (PMC) technology. Axon creates and licenses intellectual property associated with ion transport and electrochemistry in solid electrolytes. The company has maintained a strong relationship with Arizona State University, where it currently conducts much of its basic research activities, and is also seeding work at several of top research institutions.
