This paper proposes a solar-panel-integrated modified high-gain three-port dual-boost switched-inductor-based DC-DC-converter-operated micro-inverter for grid-connected applications. Solar-panel-integrated grid-connected micro-inverters need a high-gain front-end DC-DC converter to regulate and step up the output voltage of the solar panels. The proposed three-port dual-boost DC-DC converter offers high voltage gain at low duty ratio and efficiently transfers the power produced by the solar panel to the utility grid. The power losses and steady-state analysis of the proposed converter working in continuous conduction mode are examined. Examinations among the conventional boost converter are presented, and it is discovered that the proposed converter has the largest voltage transformation. Finally, the results obtained from simulated and experimental prototype models are presented to confirm the power conversion capability of the proposed converter.
