The study is aimed at improving methods for assessing magnitudes in the Altai-Sayan mountain region. The features of attenuation of the maximum displacement amplitudes in terms of the Wood-Anderson seismographs for three regions are considered: Gorny Altai, Tuva, and Kuzbass. Significant differences were found between the regional and classical calibration curves, as well as less significant ones between the three mentioned areas. The formula for the correlation between M-L and K-p is refined.
