Guam Navy League Members Visit 7th Fleet, USS Blue Ridge

Members of the Guam Council of the Navy League were hosted May 22 by officers of the U.S. 7th Fleet for an event to commemorate the inaugural Exercise Pacific Vanguard - combined fleet force exercises involving U.S. assets as well as ships and submarines from Australia, Japan and South Korea. The 7th Fleet's commander, Vice Adm. Phillip G. Sawyer, hosted the event aboard the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), an amphibious combat ship, that included the 7th Fleet's band playing a sunset and mingling among the guests and food prepared by culinary specialists aboard the Blue Ridge.
