I was struck by some words that occurred at the end of your most interesting article in the July issue on "Trauma Training" - "This is as real as you can get ..." - because the speaker was referring to the use of mannequins in training medical corpsmen. It's really strange that artificial, robot-like dummies seem to some to be "as real as you can get." There is another form of training for medical corpsmen that is far more realistic - namely, with actually injured and wounded human beings.
