The journal gatekeepers of major publishing houses of core science journals

1. The results as seen in Table 1, have confirmed our previous ones on the worldwide dominance of the gatekeepers from the US in science and in all subfields of science. 2. However, it seems that in the preference of the major publishing houses for gatekeepers from different countries the US dominance is not that strong. 3. In the case of some European publishing houses it seems that a certain preference for gatekeepers from Europe can be noticed. 4. With the only exception of Japan and Israel the use of gatekeepers from Asian and African countries is rather low.
