French Opinion on GM Study

The French High Council of Biotechnology and the Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) have each concluded that a controversial rodent study linking ingestion of genetically modified (GM) corn to tumors is inconclusive due to methodological, statistical, and interpretative limitations. The study, which had led the French government to consider asking the European Union to stop importing the GM crop, has drawn fierce criticism.
