In the last 20 years, engine technologies have achieved remarkable development, with significant improvements achieved in other performance aspects as well.rnIn the automotive industry, action to improve the energy conservation of each vehicle, namely measures to improve fuel efficiency, have been taken from a number of different perspectives. There are a broad array of strategies for improving fuel efficiency, such as enhancing the efficiency of engines and the drive line, reducing travel resistance, building lighter bodies, and employing computerized controls. Automobile fuel efficiency also depends heavily on intangible aspects such as the way a vehicle is driven and inspected daily and maintained, as well as the performance improvement of tangible elements.
