Recovery of Contaminated Soil

There are various types of soil decontamination variety of techniques being used for the differing contaminants such as Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs), heavy metals, oil and so on. Currently, new technologies are being developed to provide purification processes at lower cost and have functions with qreater precision.rnThe specific harmful substances designated by the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law include eleven VOCs that fall under the Class 1, ten inorganic substances, such as heavy metals, that fall under Class 2, and 26 substances including agricultural chemicals that fall under the Class 3. When permanent measures are found necessary for a particular site due to the severity of the contamination, treatment is conducted to eliminate the specific harmful substances contained in the soil.
