Dr. Atma Ram former Director General (D.G.) of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India (GOI) from 1966-71 was one of the leading scientists of India.1 Very little biographical information or material is available on him and so I thought of writing it based upon my interactions with him.
