INDIAN DISCIPLES OF PROFESSOR HARDY

摘要

Apart from Ramanujan, two other renowned Indian mathematicians K. Ananda Rau and T. Vijayaraghavan pursued their mathematical research under the guidance of famous British mathematician Professor G H. Hardy. In this article brief life sketch and a glimpse of mathematical works of those two Indian mathematicians have been discussed. Although a Bengali version of this article has already appeared in June 2018 issue of a Bengali mathematics magazine Ganit Bhabna, the purpose of communicating the same article to Science and Culture is to reach a large number of readers who can't understand Bengali.
