The Bristol type 156 Beaufighter was a development of the Bristol Beaufort, hence the Beau from the Beaufort and the Fighter from Heavy Fighter Variant. The concept was suggested to the British Air Ministry due to development and production delays of the Westland Whirlwind fighter aircraft. This Revell kit of the Beaufighter dates from 1974 and is still the only 1 /32 kit of this aircraft on the market. The panel lines are raised and the box contains seven big sprues of grey and one clear sprue of injection moulded plastic, one decal sheet and one instruction booklet with colour call outs for Revell's own paints. The decal sheet is nicely printed with options for two aircraft provided.
