This book is subtitled Northrop's Secret Aerospace Projects & Concepts 1939-1994 and my first impression was that this company must have had an extremely busy design department to investigate so many ideas. Apart from a very informative text this book is packed with small scale drawings. At the present time the Northrop B-2 gets all the publicity, but this company has a long and successful history when it comes to flying wing designs.This brings me neatly into the first chapter, 1939 to 1945. You will find some very strange concepts here and of course some very successful aircraft.
