Continuing to garner steadfast support from readers and industry luminaries across the globe, the SC Magazine Awards program saw increased participation this year from companies and professionals seeking Reader Trust, Excellence or Professional honors in 2009. Qualified SC Magazine readers and experts sitting on the judging panel were tasked with sifting through approximately 700 nominations from some 300 companies this year, which resulted in our announcement last month of 156 finalists for the 2009 program. Now in its 12th year and comprised of the Reader Trust, Professional, Excellence and Editor's Choice awards, the program pays tribute to the information security industry's top products, vendors, service providers and practitioners. This year, an esteemed panel of judges and a selected group of faithful and qualified readers in the form of our first ever Reader Trust panel, cast their votes across 21 categories that comprise the various awards groupings.
