How do you describe your job to average people?rnI run a team which brings together business, government and academia to find collaborative ways to deal with cybersecurity threats. Ultimately, my team works with known professionals in the field to help an increasingly digital population go about their everyday lives safely and with confidence.rnWhat do you think needs more attention?rnGreater education and awareness of cybersecurity issues. As a society, we are very good at developing increasingly sophisticated technology to deal with these problems. However, we are not so good at ensuring everyone knows about and practices basic security precautions. I am shocked by how often I still hear about people falling for phishing email requests to supply their passwords.
