Details are emerging of the Bahamas flag state report into the Ever Decent / Norwegian Dream collision. The English Channel is overcrowded. That seemingly obvious statement seems to form the main thrust of the first report, from the Bahamas flag state, into last summer's collision between a container ship and a cruise vessel in the English Channel. Although the collision situation should never have arisen, it appears from preliminary indications of the content of the Bahamas document that both cruise ship Norwegian Dream and container ship Ever Decent were prevented from taking avoiding action by the close proximity of other, smaller, vessels.
