The pages of SASI are usually full of images that shipowners would rather not have reprinted - vessels that have been subject to collisions, fires or groundings. Few could blame unfortunate shipowners for their image-conscious actions in the wake of such incidents - they usually rush to remove visible evidence of their involvement with the unlucky vessels by painting out funnel markings, removing hull branding or even renaming the ship.
