Decision-making during a crusernship emergency should be maderneasier, thanks to a new programrnfrom US-based Herbert SoftwarernSolutions Inc (HSSI). During an emergency, HSSI's CruiseMax software allows users to collect and process available data quickly, define the bounds of a problem and evaluate multiple scenarios for remedial action.rnEach CruiseMax program is custom-developed by naval architects using shipyard drawings and technical data. It uses a standard Windows interface to present continu-ously updated draught, trim, list, GM and longitudinal strength data. Introduced at the recent Seatrade Cruise Shipping exhibition in Miami, CruiseMax is based on HSSI's cargo ship software program, CargoMax.
