Pump manufacturer Allweiler will display Allseal, its latest pump-sealing technology at Nor-Shipping 2009. An opto-electronic sensor and electronic control unit detects seal wear in its early stages, allowing the system to react automatically in an appropriate way for the installation and applica tion. Possible reactions include visual and acoustic signals, stopping of the pump, or a changeover to a secondary unit.
