Bintulu Port in Sarawak, East Malaysia, is to have its VTMIS upgraded by Kongsberg Norcontrol IT in a package that will include VOC5060 computer hardware and software, user training and maintenance up to 2013.rnThe upgrade will mean improvement of the port's radar performance without upgrading radar hardware, thanks to three sophisticated C-Scope radar extractor and trackers. Advanced signal processing techniques will extrapolate a clearer image from the raw radar signal to ensure that all targets in the domain can be clearly defined.
